“Everything that is useful must be beautiful; otherwise things do not do their job.” This was the maxim of Wilhelm Wagenfeld, born in 1900 in Bremen, who created porcelain items and a service with and for FÜRSTENBERG in 1934. Wagenfeld always followed the central idea of the Bauhaus movement: “Form follows function” – his works have a classic beauty.
