A Bouquet of Happiness
When was the last time you brought home a bouquet of fresh flowers? Simply to add a little more beauty, tranquility, and life to your surroundings?
Flowers are far more than decoration. Studies suggest that flowers can enhance well-being and encourage positive emotions. They bring color, a sense of nature, and a distinctive atmosphere into everyday life. Bringing yourself fresh flowers on a regular basis can become a small act of mindfulness. A conscious moment dedicated to creating a home that feels beautiful, welcoming, and alive.
This very idea was at the heart of FÜRSTENBERG’s thinking. Because exceptional flowers deserve vases that enhance their beauty rather than compete with it. In search of timeless forms, we found inspiration within our own archive.
A Collection with a Story - The Classics
With the Classics vase collection, FÜRSTENBERG has reintroduced five historic vase designs and brought them together in a collection of their own. Each vase tells its own story and reflects a distinct design era, ranging from soft and organic to clean and elegant. Together, the vases unite more than 275 years of manufactory heritage with contemporary living. The result is a collection that does more than simply display flowers. It gives them the space to make an impact. In every season.
Which flowers belong in which vase?
The right vase can make all the difference. To bring out the full beauty of flowers, it helps to consider the vase’s shape, height, and opening. In many cases, a lavish bouquet is not required. Just a few thoughtfully selected blooms can completely transform a space.
The tall, slender vase - for elegant lines and branches
The tall, graceful silhouette of these vases is particularly well suited to long-stemmed flowers and individual branches. Tulips, irises, calla lilies, and magnolia branches are especially striking when arranged in this shape. The narrow opening gently gathers the stems and highlights their natural lines.
Tulips, in particular, bring a special sense of movement to this vase. Over several days, their stems continue to grow and gradually lean outward, creating an arrangement that feels increasingly lively and organic.
Rounded vase with wide opening - for loose, abundant bouquets
Vases with a wide opening and gently rounded shapes are ideal for loosely arranged bouquets with a natural sense of movement. Tulips, ranunculus, peonies, and seasonal wildflowers look particularly beautiful in this style of vase.
The open shape gives each stem room to breathe, allowing the arrangement to feel effortless, lively, and full of character.
Rounded vase with narrow opening - for elegant arrangements
Rounded vases with a narrow opening are particularly well suited to harmonious floral arrangements with a clear, graceful structure. The smaller opening gently gathers the stems, naturally giving the flowers an elegant posture and refined presence.
Anemones, irises, calla lilies, and sweet peas are especially beautiful in this type of vase. Even just a few carefully chosen blooms are enough to create a sophisticated and striking display.
Small vases - for spontaneous floral moments
The smaller vases in the Classics collection are perfect for relaxed, effortless floral arrangements in everyday life. A few fresh roses from the market, delicate wildflowers, or a handful of seasonal blooms are all it takes to bring a touch of life to a windowsill, side table, or beautifully set table.
Their open shape allows flowers to appear naturally light and unstructured. Smaller arrangements, in particular, create a sense of intimacy, transforming even just a few stems into a thoughtful and meaningful moment within the home.
Modern contrasts - the Linda vase
Classic shapes are not always the only choice. With the “Linda” vase, FÜRSTENBERG introduces a contemporary, graphic interpretation of the flower vase. Its distinctive relief structure and architectural form make it a design object in its own right—even without a floral arrangement.
Minimalist, sculptural blooms such as calla lilies, alliums, anthuriums, or individual branches and foliage pair particularly beautifully with LINDA. Just a few carefully selected stems are enough to highlight the vase’s striking silhouette and contemporary character.
