Conical vases with adjustable flower insert
FER FORGÉ is a décor that presents a collection of vases combining ornaments of diverse motifs with a straight and elegant form. Overly elaborate, style avant-gardist Peter Kempe translated the century-old craftsmanship tradition of forging iron into playful and fanciful grid structures.
FÜRSTENBERG, together with star florist Björn Kroner, has developed not only the vase but also golden and white flower inserts that fit both sizes of the vase. The inserts make possible the simple realisation of fantastic floral concepts.
Vases combining well thought-out functionality and effective decorative accents are in general hard to find. Together with star florist Björn Kroner-Salié, porcelain manufacturer FÜRSTENBERG therefore looked into the matter and developed a conical vase made from sophisticated porcelain which perfectly enhances modern floral arrangements. It can be combined with a decorative flower insert if desired – with a choice of single or multiple openings – to allow for creative flower arrangements. The vases can be found in a height of 20 or 28 centimetres. They are available in solid white as well as in three different FER FORGÉ decors from the Hamburg-based designer Peter Kempe.
FER FORGÉ is a classic ornament motif going back to the centuries-old tradition of wrought iron. Style avant-gardist Peter Kempe has developed three imaginative and playful variations of the current vases from the FÜRSTENBERG collection: an enlarged Craquelé, a bird and a fish motif. All three decors of FER FORGÉ form a stark contrast to the pure and linear shape of the vessel. The lattice motifs of FER FORGÉ appear relaxed and modified and form a perfect counterpoint to any modern and classic interior. In the process, the FER FORGÉ vases remain sophisticated and international. The designer himself sees the discreet gold decoration as a special appeal: “The magnificent yet modest and fragile gold decor of FER FOGRÉ lends the vase mid-century charm and is just as suitable for a New York apartment as for a summer residence in Portofino.” The lattice decor FER FORGÉ by Peter Kempe also adorns 12 coasters. The two coaster ensembles in gold on white and gold on black round off the stylish lounge evening at home perfectly, bringing the “golden sixties” back to life again.
