Course: Painting Porcelain
Appointments by arrangement, Length: 1,5 hours

You’ll experience for yourself how porcelain is cast and decorated by hand using a centuries-old process. You’ll complete the “Introductory Course in Porcelain Painting" where you can gain first-hand experience with the elegant basics. The material is provided and after the objects are fired, the precious finished items will later be sent to your home by mail.

Porcelain Workshop
Registration required. Length: 1 hour

Experienced porcelain makers will demonstrate the time-consuming procedures followed in the manufacture of porcelain: Experience how molds are cast and figurines emerge. You can shape a rose yourself from the “white gold from the Weser” and also learn what is involved in the more advanced production stages.

Visitor Workshop
April - October 10:30 am to 4:30 pm (except mondays)

We will show you special manufacturing techniques from the field of factory porcelain production at three workplaces in the Castle Museum. From 10:30am to 4:30pm daily during peak season, you can look over our staff’s shoulders and experience how our love for detail goes into our work. It is also possible to ask questions in personal discussions and find out about the individual steps in the process.
